UGC Creator Rates in Europe by Country

Article image

Published guides suggest that UGC creator rates in Europe range from about €20 for some platform work in Portugal to €500 or more for an experienced creator in Germany. Country provides a rough benchmark. The filming requirements, language, deliverables, deadline and licence determine the quote.

Use the country ranges as a starting point, then price the deliverables, revisions and usage licence separately.

UGC creator rates by European country in 2026

These indicative ranges come from the sources and evidence types identified in the table, checked in September 2026. They combine platform averages, creator rate guides and one network minimum, so they are not directly comparable.

The available sources do not define video length, editing or included rights consistently. Do not compare these figures as if they measure the same package: some are marketplace averages, some are direct-client ranges, and Ireland’s figure is a network minimum.

A creator’s home country is only one factor. Also consider the filming location, language and client market. A Portuguese creator producing native German content for an app team in Berlin should not be benchmarked solely against Portuguese platform rates.

Before comparing quotes, check the finished length, hooks, raw footage, revisions, channels, licence duration, deadline and filming requirements. A €150 organic video is not equivalent to a package containing three hooks, raw footage and paid-use rights.

How to choose your rate within the range

Place yourself towards the lower, middle or upper end using evidence a client can assess:

  • Portfolio depth: completed examples in the requested format and category.
  • Production complexity: locations, props, demonstrations, additional people and specialist equipment.
  • Creative responsibility: whether you receive a finished script or develop the concept, script and shot list.
  • Editing standard: captions, graphics, sound treatment, colour work and multiple formats.
  • Niche knowledge: credible experience in areas such as skincare, software or supplements.
  • Commercial experience: previous approved brand work and evidence that you can follow a brief.
  • Turnaround: whether the deadline disrupts your existing production schedule.

Build your UGC quote

A base fee should cover one precisely defined deliverable, including its length, format, production work and included revisions.

For example, a base fee for one 30- to 45-second video might cover one concept, one filming location, one finished edit and one consolidated revision round. State whether captions, a script, props and product demonstrations are included.

Price additions separately so that extra hooks, files, edits or deadlines do not expand the agreed scope for free:

  • Extra hooks: Define whether each variation replaces only the opening three to five seconds or requires a complete alternative edit.
  • Alternative formats: Price shorter cuts, square versions and other aspect ratios separately.
  • Raw footage: Treat unedited files as a separate deliverable because they let the client produce additional assets.
  • Additional revisions: Charge after the included rounds and require consolidated feedback.
  • Changed-brief reshoots: A reshoot caused by a new script, claim, location or product requirement is a new deliverable. Correcting your own failure to follow the approved brief is not.
  • Rush work: Confirm that product delivery and client approvals can support the deadline before accepting it.
  • Exclusivity: Price the period during which you cannot work with competing brands, based on the category and opportunities you may have to decline.
  • Product costs: Record who pays for shipping, customs, specialist props and products that cannot be returned.

List deliverables in plain language. “Three hooks” should say whether the client receives three openings attached to one main edit or three complete videos.

How usage rights affect your rate

The creation fee pays for production. The licence defines where, how and for how long the client may use the content.

Published guides suggest these starting points for direct negotiations:

Intended useIndicative add-on
Paid advertising for 30 days+30 to 50% of the base fee
Paid advertising for 90 days+50 to 100%
Creator-authorised advertising+50 to 100%
Perpetual use across agreed channels+100 to 150% or more

Organic use covers publication on the brand’s own unpaid channels. Paid use covers adverts purchased by the brand. Creator-authorised advertising, often called whitelisting, allows a brand to promote content using the creator’s identity or handle. The permission method, duration and approval controls depend on the platform.

Because the advert uses your identity or handle, agree the platforms, campaign duration, approval controls and account permissions in writing. Treat category exclusivity separately from the content licence.

Only grant rights you control. Music, stock footage, fonts, trademarks and identifiable people may be subject to separate permissions. State whether the brand must supply cleared assets and whether raw clips may be published without further approval.

Noovid briefs include full commercial usage rights with no expiry or platform restriction. Agencies may transfer those rights to an end client, and paid advertising does not carry an additional brand fee. Creators should compare the displayed project fee with their direct rate for the same deliverables, three revisions and perpetual rights.

A practical creator rate card

This illustration uses a €180 base fee within the published Spanish range. Its production percentages are example choices, while its usage percentages fall within the published ranges above. It is not a recommended Spanish tariff.

Line itemPricing methodExample
One 30- to 45-second videoFixed base fee€180
Extra hook20% of base€36
Extra 15s or square edit25% of base€45
Raw footage30% of base€54
Paid use for 90 days+75% of base€135
Creator-authorised advertising for 90 days+75% of base€135
Perpetual use on agreed channels+125% of base€225

A supplement brand in Madrid ordering one video, two extra hooks and 90 days of paid advertising would receive a quote of €387 before VAT. One video with two hooks, raw footage and perpetual rights would total €531 before VAT.

State the currency, payment schedule, cancellation terms and quote expiry. Record any exclusions, particularly raw footage, paid use, creator-authorised advertising, reshoots and exclusivity.

Compare direct and marketplace earnings

A direct quote, marketplace retail price and creator project fee are different numbers. Compare the complete terms rather than assuming the headline prices are equivalent.

Platform support varies: check who manages the brief, contract, revisions, payment and any dispute. At the time of writing, Influee states a 10% fee on creator payments, while Youdji states a 20% creator commission.

On Noovid, brands pay fixed retail prices by length: €75 for 15 seconds, €99 for 30 seconds, €129 for 45 seconds and €149 for 60 seconds. Brands can review European creator availability when assessing a campaign.

Creators see the creator fee for each project before applying. There is no set-up cost, but registration does not guarantee work and brief availability varies by country. Noovid’s European creator base is younger than Influee’s, and it does not offer an influencer-posting or creator-authorised advertising product.

The Spanish €180 example is a direct fee for one 30- to 45-second video with one revision before adding rights. Noovid’s comparable brand retail prices are €99 for 30 seconds and €129 for 45 seconds, including three revisions and perpetual commercial rights. This is not a creator-payout comparison because Noovid does not state that the creator receives the brand retail price.

VAT and cross-border invoices

State whether your quote includes VAT. Treatment depends on your registration, the client’s status, the transaction and the jurisdictions involved.

For qualifying services supplied by a VAT-registered business to a VAT-registered business in another EU state, reverse charge usually applies. Verify both VAT numbers and include the usual invoice details, including a unique invoice number, date, service description and the words “reverse charge”.

Domestic work, consumer sales, non-EU clients and small-business regimes may be treated differently. Relevant regimes include Germany’s Kleinunternehmer rules, France’s micro-entrepreneur system, Spain’s autónomo status, Portugal’s recibos verdes or regime simplificado, and the Netherlands’ KOR. Check the current rules with an accountant rather than relying on a client’s instructions.

Pricing mistakes to avoid

  • Quoting before defining videos, hooks, formats, revisions, rights and deadlines.
  • Including reshoots after a changed brief without revising the fee.
  • Leaving organic use, paid use, licence duration or exclusivity unspecified.
  • Granting rights to music, footage or other third-party assets you do not control.
  • Discounting bundles without considering the value of every deliverable and licence.
  • Keeping the same rates after your portfolio, production standard or demand changes. Use this guide to strengthen your UGC portfolio.

Frequently asked questions

How much should a beginner UGC creator charge in Europe?

Published guides suggest very different starting points by country and route. The ranges here begin at €20 for some platform work in Portugal and at £80 in the UK, but the appropriate quote also depends on scope, revisions and usage rights.

Does a UGC creator need followers to charge for videos?

No. A creation fee pays for producing content, not access to an audience. Noovid has no follower requirement, although applicants submit a profile and sample videos for review.

Should VAT be added to a UGC creator’s rate?

That depends on the creator’s registration, the client’s status and the countries involved. State whether the quote is before or after VAT, verify the client’s details and check the treatment with an accountant.

Should raw footage be included in a UGC video rate?

Not unless the quote says so. Raw files allow the client to create additional assets, so creators can list them as a separate deliverable with their own usage terms.

Is a creator rate the same as the price a brand pays a marketplace?

Not necessarily. A marketplace may set a retail price, charge either side a fee or show creators a separate project fee. Compare the complete terms, including rights and revisions.

How often should a UGC creator update a rate card?

Review it when your portfolio, production standard, process or demand changes. Update it when clients repeatedly request deliverables, such as hooks or raw footage, that are missing from the current card.

Use the country figure only as a benchmark. Your final rate must cover the production scope, licence, administration and revision commitment. For marketplace work, review the displayed fee and complete brief before applying.
