Frequently asked questions
What is an ad mockup?
A picture of your ad as it will appear in someone's feed: the creative inside the platform's UI, with the brand name, caption, call to action and action buttons around it. Teams use mockups to approve creative, pitch clients and plan campaigns before anything is uploaded to an ads manager.
Which placements can I mock up?
Meta: Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reels, Feed (4:5 and 1:1), in-stream video and the 1.91:1 banner. TikTok: In-Feed 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9. YouTube: Shorts 9:16, Demand Gen 4:5 and 1:1, and in-stream 16:9.
Is my video or logo uploaded anywhere?
No. The file and the logo are read by your browser and drawn on a canvas; the PNG is rendered from that canvas on your own machine. Nothing is sent to Noovid or any server.
Can I mock up a video?
Yes. The preview plays the video so you can see the placement in motion, and the PNG captures the frame showing when you click download. Scrub to a strong frame first.
Can I add my logo?
Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG and it replaces the placeholder avatar in the brand row, the action rail and the in-stream card.
What size is the exported PNG?
The phone is rendered at three times its on-screen size, around 900 × 1,800 pixels with the background, which is sharp on slides and in email.
Is the mockup exactly what the platform shows?
It mirrors the current layout of each placement: progress bar, brand row, caption, call to action, like, comment and share controls. Platforms change their UI regularly, so treat it as a faithful preview rather than a pixel-perfect screenshot.
My creative is the wrong ratio for the placement. What now?
The mockup crops it to the placement, and you can drag to choose what stays in frame. To export properly sized files for every placement, use our free Meta, TikTok and YouTube Shorts ad resizers.
