Creator Marketing Statistics 2026: The European Data Brands Need

Article image

European brands are putting more money into creator content in 2026, and more of it is bought as ad creative. These are the figures a brand can actually use, each with its source and publication date.

The short version:

  • Budgets are rising: 72% of European brands plan to raise influencer budgets in 2026.
  • Cost is the main complaint: rising creator costs and opaque fees are among the top complaints.
  • A UGC video costs far less than an influencer post: €160 on average in Spain, against a €5,200 median collaboration in France.
  • Creator ads need constant refreshing: winning creator ads last about 36 days.
  • Real people still beat AI: human-made ads beat AI recreations by 14% on short-term sales impact.

Creator budgets in Europe are growing

72% of European brands plan to raise their influencer budgets in 2026, and the median annual spend is €175k (Kolsquare x NewtonX, via Netinfluencer, November 2025).

UGC stands out. In Influencer Marketing Hub's 2026 survey, 87.5% of marketers expect budgets to rise, and UGC creators get 50% expansion intent and 0% planned cuts (Influencer Marketing Hub, Benchmark Report 2026, May 2026).

Creator content is also overtaking traditional production. In 2025, creator platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Reels) took more than half of content-driven ad revenue, overtaking professionally produced content for the first time (WPP Media, via Marketing Week, June 2025).

Two of the largest eurozone markets show the same trend. France spent €587m net on influencers in 2025, up 13.1% (ARPP and France Pub, via The Media Leader FR, April 2026). Italy is forecast at about €550m for 2026, 12% more than in 2025 (UPA and UNA Media Hub, via ItaliaOggi, March 2026).

What brands struggle with

Measurement is getting easier but still worries many teams. 39% of European brands cite unreliable data, and 37% struggle to measure ROI, down from 50% in 2024. Cost is the other big problem: 31% cite rising costs, 28% opaque fee structures and 27% friction with agents (Kolsquare x NewtonX, November 2025). In Influencer Marketing Hub's survey, rising creator costs are the top challenge, at 35.4%.

The prices back this up. In France, the median micro-influencer collaboration (10–50k followers) tripled from €1,000 in 2025 to €3,000 in H1 2026 (Matriochka Influences, via CB News, September 2026).

Finding good creators is hard too. In Spain, 79% of marketers name content quality or finding the right creator as their biggest UGC challenge (I Estudio UGC España 2026, via Comunicación y Marketing, September 2026).

What a UGC video costs in Europe

Spain's 2026 UGC study puts the average UGC video at €160, though brands believe they pay €100–150 (I Estudio UGC España 2026, via Comunicación y Marketing, September 2026). The same study found that 69% of Spanish companies spend under €1,000 a month on UGC.

Influencer fees are in another league. In France, the median influencer collaboration (feed post plus story) was €5,200 in H1 2026, up 30% (Matriochka Influences, via CB News, September 2026).

The gap is wide because a UGC price covers the video, while an influencer fee also pays for the creator's audience. New to the distinction? Start with what UGC is and how it differs from influencer marketing.

Creator ads and social commerce

Running an ad from the creator's account pays off. In Agentio's data from 65,000 ads, Meta partnership ads run from the creator's handle got +19% CTR, +10% conversion rate and −5% CPA versus the same asset from the brand handle.

Creator ads also wear out fast. Winning creator ads last about 36 days, and keeping 10 winners live takes about 40 new creator ads a month (Agentio, via Martechvibe, August 2026).

Shopping inside social apps is growing quickly too. TikTok Shop in Germany, France, Spain and Italy made an estimated €498.8m in sales (GMV) in the 90 days to 9 July 2026, €174.7m of it in Germany. Affiliate creators drove 69.9% of that (Lengow, using Kalodata estimates, July 2026). More than 100,000 EU businesses have joined TikTok Shop (TikTok Newsroom, May 2026).

Trust and AI

People still like good ads but are wary of fake ones. 57% of people globally feel positive about advertising, but 57% worry about generative AI being used to make fake ads (Kantar, Media Reactions 2025, October 2025). Advertisers share the worry: 95% of US creator ad buyers have concerns about AI in creator marketing (IAB, November 2025).

AI ads are now hard to spot but still less effective. In a test with 3,000 US consumers, human-made ads beat AI recreations by 14% on short-term sales impact and 17% on long-term brand equity. Only 25% of viewers were confident an ad was AI-made (Ipsos with Syracuse University, May 2026).

"While AI can produce work that is credible and largely indistinguishable to most viewers, credible is not the same as compelling." (Ipsos and Syracuse University)

In the EU, the AI Act's deepfake disclosure rule (Article 50) applies from 2 August 2026, and marking duties for existing generative AI systems follow on 2 December 2026 (Paul, Weiss, August 2026).

What these numbers mean for brands

Budget for a monthly batch of videos, not one hero ad. Winning creator ads fade after about five weeks, so one video won't last. At €75–149 a video, the under-€1,000 monthly budget most Spanish brands already run buys roughly 6 to 13 videos.

Buy on published, all-in prices. Opaque fees and rising costs are among the top complaints in Europe, so compare offers on the price per usable video with usage rights included. Our UGC pricing models comparison breaks down the options.

Keep real people on camera. Human ads still win on sales and brand equity, and realistic AI people in EU ads now need a label. Save AI for cut-downs and translations of real footage.

At Noovid, a 15-second video costs €75, 30 seconds €99, 45 seconds €129 and 60 seconds €149, with three revisions and commercial usage rights included and no subscription. Partnership ads, run from the creator's handle, are available as a paid add-on.
