About the role
Noovid serves two very different users: brands commissioning videos and creators delivering them. The product grew feature by feature, and honestly, it shows. Everything works, but it doesn't yet feel like one coherent thing. There's no big design org here to slot into. You'd be building it.
As our first designer you'll own the whole product surface, hands-on. You decide how we research, prototype, critique, and ship. You make the marketplace feel like one product. And you set the quality bar the designers who come after you will inherit. We'll bring you customer problems, not finished specs, and trust you to take them to the right outcome.
What you'll do
- Own the end-to-end brand and creator experience, from research through shipped UI
- Set up a lightweight research practice that turns real user behaviour into product direction
- Take work from a fuzzy problem to flows, interactions, polished UI, and evidence after launch
- Build a design system and shared language that make quality repeatable without making the brand boring
- Decide how design works here: critique, documentation, collaboration, and eventually hiring
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in product design, with lead-level ownership of work that mattered
- You've built a design practice, or seriously matured one, somewhere early-stage or fast-moving
- A portfolio that shows judgment, systems thinking, and interaction craft, with outcomes attached
- You can lead without a team yet: stay hands-on and create clarity for the engineers around you
- You're fluent in English. It's our working language
Your first six months
- Give the company a clear, evidence-backed picture of the experience problems worth solving first
- Take one meaningful workflow from discovery through release and prove it got better
- Lay down the first durable layer of the design system and a working rhythm for design
Bonus points
- Experience with marketplaces, creator tools, or other multi-sided products
- Front-end fluency, motion chops, or a good eye for short-form video
